Gratitude & Grace

Financial Coaching & Mentorship for Lasting Recovery

Recovery is about more than sobriety. It’s about stability, confidence, and opportunity.

Through Gratitude & Grace, the Strophy Foundation partners with Olympia Sober Housing to provide personalized financial coaching and mentorship for women with children who are rebuilding their lives in recovery.

This program equips residents with the tools they need not just to stay sober — but to thrive.

Why Financial Stability Matters in Recovery

For individuals rebuilding their lives, financial stress can be one of the biggest barriers to long-term success.

Without guidance, navigating employment, budgeting, and credit can feel overwhelming. Gratitude & Grace fills that gap by providing structured, one-on-one mentorship focused on real-world financial skills and long-term independence.

Because recovery should lead to resilience — not uncertainty.

What the Program Provides

Each resident receives personalized support in:

  • Budgeting and money management

  • Financial planning and goal setting

  • Employment readiness and career development

  • Debt management strategies

  • Building credit and savings

  • Planning for independent housing

Every session is tailored to the individual’s goals, circumstances, and stage of recovery.

Leadership Rooted in Experience

The program is led by Becky Carver, Vice President of the Strophy Foundation Board of Trustees and a seasoned financial professional with more than 20 years of experience in financial planning and home mortgage lending.

Becky brings both expertise and compassion to her work — helping residents build confidence alongside financial capability.

A Trusted Recovery Partnership

Since 2023, the Strophy Foundation has proudly supported Olympia Sober Housing, a certified clean and sober housing provider in Thurston County.

Olympia Sober Housing:

  • Has been certified since 2016

  • Is one of only three housing providers in Thurston County certified by the Washington Alliance of Quality Recovery Residences

  • Received the 2019 Vision of Hope Award from the South Puget Sound Community Partnership for Transition Solutions for its commitment to successful reintegration

In 2023, with support from the Strophy Foundation, a new Olympia Sober House — Gratitude & Sober Living — was launched to expand safe, structured housing options for individuals in recovery.

Gratitude & Grace builds on that strong foundation.
